Self-striping Summer Yarns…
Today I’d like to show off two new summer yarns we have in stock that self-stripe in their own fun ways!
First is a 100% cotton from Katia called Samba:

The yarn has a matte finish and is very soft. There’s a generous 126 yards per ball and it knits up at a recommended 22 stitches pver 4″. Plus, it’s machine washable and we have some really cute kids patterns for it as well!
For a more blended striping effect, there is Dusk from Filatura di Crosa’s Fancy Collection:

Dusk is 65% Cotton, 30% Acrylic and 5% Polyamide and has a unique twist to it that makes it almost look handspun (advanced handspun, but still!). This is the yarn used for the cover pattern on the latest Knitter’s (check inside the magazine to see the top without the capelet!) and we also have some beautiful Filatura patterns for it.
Come in to see knitted swatches of both yarns…and don’t forget that our Mother’s Day Bag Sale is still going on through this Saturday, May 10th!
